Time flies whether you are having fun or not

I can't believe I have one week left at home before I start back to work. There is so much to do and I feel overwhelmed at the small amount of time I have to accomplish it all. Let alone the holidays and all they bring, I have laundry, dishes and all the other wonderful household chores. I'm overwhelmed. I'm excited but I am wondering where the weeks have gone and how I will make getting back to work, well, work.
How do working mom's do it all? Being home, searching for a job, going to appointments... this kept me busy enough and I still had quite a bit of time on my hands to get the other stuff done. Now that I'll be back full time I won't have that time anymore. How do you do it? How does everything get done? HELP!!! I need advice, thoughts, good wishes sent my way.
On top of all of this I haven't been sleeping well so that's another concern. Going back to work and not sleeping well at night isn't a good combination. And when will I workout (I say that like I've been actually working out all this time. Good for a laugh :) )? When will I do all the little extras and still get the sleep and relaxation time I need? Not to mention appointments that I still have to get to. Yikes, I'm freaking myself out here.
Ok, on to happier things: I'm off to get my nails done in honor of the holidays and I suppose the job, too. Hope you all have had a wonderful weekend in preparation for the holidays! I know when I get home I'll be wrap wrap wrapping until I can wrap no more!

  1. Working & being a mom is hard. This is day 1 of my 3rd week being back in the office & I hate it. We drop baby girl off at daycare around 7 & pick her up a little after 5. By the time we get home, we get 3-4 hrs with her before bedtime. I do manage to see her during my lunch hour. She is just 3 and a half months old & I feel like I'm going to miss so much of her development in her first year. We are weighing the options for me to not work starting in March, but I have so many reservations about it.
